Pricing

   Step 1: Scheduling conference:

Cost: $500 (approximately 60-90 minutes)

When: 1-3 months before the hearing, as the parties and arbitrator agree, depending upon the needs and complexity of the case.

Purpose: a) set discovery schedule; b) schedule arbitration and mediation dates; and c) any other ground rules. The scheduling conference takes place via Zoom or other remote conferencing. 

   Step 2: Arbitration hearing (7 hours per day or 4 hours per half day)

Cost: 

 - $800 per full day, $400 per half day of the arbitration hearing. 

 - $1,800 Preparation of arbitrator's written findings of fact, conclusions of law, and ruling.

Hearings can take place with some or all of the participants in the same room, or via Zoom or other remote conferencing.

Hearings normally take three days, but the parties are free to schedule as few or as many days as needed. 

   Step 3: Mediation session (half day or full day)

Cost: $800 per full day, $400 per half day  

Mediation sessions can take place with some or all of the participants in the same room, or via Zoom or other remote conferencing. 

The parties are free to divide the costs of arb-med between them as they choose, but typically divide the costs equally.

À la Carte Arbitration and Mediation Pricing

Arbitration

- Additional telephone/Zoom conferences with arbitrator (these conferences will include both parties and their counsel; they are not private conferences): $300/hour (billed in minimum increments of 15 minutes – usually the fee is billed to the party who requested the conference, but the arbitrator has discretion to determine apportionment of this fee among the parties)
